To meet frequently expressed needs, a Childminders' Center (MAM) and a Micro-Nursery (MIC) were planned for 2022.

The town of Morcenx prided itself on having an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Imagine: a large 50-meter pool with a diving board, a 15-meter teaching pool, and a paddling pool. The project had been in the works since 1951, but due to the town's other priorities, it took until 1965 to see it resurface. In 1968, the project became a reality at the corner of Boulevard Galliéni and Avenue Pateur. 300-seat stands allowed for its inauguration on September 30, 1968, in the presence of the Prefect of Landes, the Mayor, Léon Brouste, and the constituent bodies.

Then came the time when its operation and the maintenance of its boiler became too burdensome for municipal finances, especially since the nearby Arjuzanx lakes opened up new horizons for swimming and water sports enthusiasts. The pool was therefore condemned in 2008. After several unsuccessful conversion proposals, the municipality took matters into its own hands, especially as the neighborhood complained of nuisances caused by frogs and mosquitoes.

To meet frequently expressed needs, a Childminders' Center (MAM) and a Micro-Nursery (MIC) were planned for 2022. After extensive asbestos removal and deconstruction work, construction began in September 2024 and will be operational by the start of the 2025 school year. The MAM occupies the former technical rooms of the swimming pool, while the MIC is a new building, constructed on the former diving board deck.
