His son, Jean, added a 'c' to his surname when he inherited an estate that became Moré. A royal notary, Jean Luxcey signed the cahiers de remonstrances of the parish of Morcenx and, with the Revolution, became the commune's first mayor. His grandson, Camille, in turn inherited the estate... until 1881. The land was then sold to the Société Agricole & Industrielle de Morcenx. Between the two wars, new owners, Mrs. Andrée Malet and her husband, Doctor Jean Tissègre, purchased the Château de Moré and its numerous outbuildings. They renovated it and added a small clinic to the former cellar.
Having become municipal property in 1982, the Moré estate houses the Morcenx-la-Nouvelle leisure center, run by the CLEM association. Its activities are carried out in part of the estate's converted outbuildings, expanded with other buildings.
The same is true for the school cafeteria at the Gare school and the nursery school. Meals prepared on-site using organic or locally sourced ingredients are offered to the students. A curious square tower, perhaps a former dovecote, is attached to the building on the west side. Its roof, covered with colorful tiles, was salvaged by Dr. Tissègre during the demolition of the old Dax casino.
