The Villa la Landaise was owned by timber manufacturer Louis Saint-Jours, who was also mayor of Morcenx from 1925 to 1935.

Morcenx's first community hall, it met the need to provide the town with a meeting place for associations, particularly the Morcenx Cigale band, the main organizer of the festivals.

Once a school complex had been built in the Morcenx-Gare neighborhood, elected officials focused on starting construction on the church. According to the 1886 census, Morcenx-Gare and its surrounding neighborhoods, including Moré, Batan, Cornalis, and others, had a population of approximately 900.

After the « Fête des Poilus » in 1919, Morcenx felt compelled to honor those who had died for their country. A public fundraising campaign was launched, which raised 12,356 francs.

Taking Boulevard Galliéni, formerly Boulevard de la Liberté, towards Avenue Pasteur, the visitor finds himself in front of a community hall located in the swimming pool square and curiously named the Salle de la Pailleuse (Pile Maker's Hall).

19. La Maison des Assistants Maternels (MAM) et la Micro-Crèche (MIC)

Even before 1992, the year the Arjuzanx thermal power plant closed, the town of Morcenx was involved in the establishment of new economic hubs in the area, emphasizing the need for inter-municipal cooperation.
